One of the best websites, and my homepage, is Google News. When you are done checking that out, take a look at Newsmap. From the Newsmap site:

Newsmap is an application that visually reflects the constantly changing landscape of the Google News news aggregator. A treemap visualization algorithm helps display the enormous amount of information gathered by the aggregator. Treemaps are traditionally space-constrained visualizations of information. Newsmap's objective takes that goal a step further and provides a tool to divide information into quickly recognizable bands which, when presented together, reveal underlying patterns in news reporting across cultures and within news segments in constant change around the globe.
Newsmap does not pretend to replace the googlenews aggregator. It's objective is to simply demonstrate visually the relationships between data and the unseen patterns in news media. It is not thought to display an unbiased view of the news, on the contrary it is thought to ironically accentuate the bias of it.

Death of Superman

Sadly, Christopher Reeve died last night. He always put on a brave face and a smile for the cameras. Too bad he didn't live long enough for a cure to be found. Unfortunately, we have a president who, for whatever asinine reasons, will not fully support stem cell research. I'm not saying that stem cell research will cure everything, but there is great hope. We have so much to gain and so little to lose. Our current president won't use embryonic cells because he is in bed with the Church. Leave your religion out of your decisions. Rule with your head (he can't) and your heart. Not with your bible. Please don't re-elect this man. There is nothing "super" about him, except for his stupidity and greed. Please read George Bush's comments on stem cell research.

No Fear
