Here are a few cool shopping-aide sites. They have links pointing you to coupons (both online codes and printable ones), free deals, etc. These sites are great if you order stuff online. Chances are you can find a coupon code for $5 to $50 off sites such as Amazon, Officemax, and more.

Slick Deals - www.slickdeals.net
Amazing Bargains - www.amazing-bargains.com
Flamingo World - www.flamingoworld.com

Some others I rarely use:
eBates - www.ebates.com note: never got credit for the discount
Coolsavings - www.coolsavings.com
Yahoo Internet Life Freebies - www.yil.com

New layout. This one is much cleaner... still needs lots of work. How do I get the archives on the left to display here when clicked? That is the question...
I saw you, and him, walking in the rain...

Hey hey baby how ya doin' come on in here
Got some hot chocolate on the stove waiting for you
Listen first things first let me hang up the coat
Yeah how was your day today
Did you miss me
You did? Yeah? I missed you too
I missed you so much I followed you today
That's right now close your mouth
'Cause you cold busted
Now just sit down here, sit down here
I'm so upset with you I don't know what to do
You know my first impulse was to run up on you and do a Rambo
I was about to jam you and flat blast both of you
But I didn't wanna mess up this thirty-seven hundred dollar lynx coat
So instead I chilled -- That's right chilled
I called up the bank and took out every dime.
Than I cancelled all your credit cards...
I stuck you up for every piece of jewelery I ever bought you!
Don't go lookin' in that closet 'cause everything you came here with is packed up and waiting for you in the guest room. What were you thinking?
You don't mess with the Juice!
I gave you silk suits, blue diamonds and gucci handbags.
I gave you things you couldn't even pronounce!
But now I can't give you nothing but advice.
Cause you're still young, yeah, you're young.
And you're gonna find somebody like me one of these days . . .
Until then, you know what you gotta do?
You gotta get on outta here with that alley-cat-coat-wearing,
punch-bucket-shoe-wearing crumbcake I saw you with. Cause you dismissed!
That's right, Silly rabbit, tricks are made for kids, don't you know that.
You without me is like corn flakes without the milk! This is my
world. You're just a squirrel trying to get a nut! Now get on outtahere. Scat!
Don't touch that coat...

The sky is falling.

Let's see... been a while since I blogged on here. I went to another free concert in the park, this time the New York Philharmonic. Now, I'm not a fan of classical music really, but I don't mind it. I particularily enjoy Ravel's Bolero.

A local radio station here, WLIR 92.7, insists on describing everything as banging. What the hell? Is there anything more annoying? "This song is banging!. That concert was banging. Its banging yo." Stop it already! Ok.. enough venting. Tune in tomorrow when I complain about....

There are so many awesome digital artists out there, I wish I was one of them. I just have to post a link to one of my favourite sites, Dhabih Eng's Sijun.com. He is an amazing artist. When you are done looking at his art, you must visit the Sijun.com Forums. Countless (err, it says 4353 registered members at time of posting) posters show off their finished and in-progress works. Warning: You will spend hours here! I think I'm going to go buy a Wacom tablet any day now, even though I can't draw.

Last night I went to a free concert in a park in Syosset, NY, on Long Island. Playing was The Cast of Beatlemania. The really sounded just like the Beatles, even though the sound system wasn't that great. It was in some small park. I got there half way through the show, so I didn't get to see the whole thing. Pretty cool nonetheless! The guy playing John Lennon was spooky - he sounded just like him.
I am the walrus, goo goo goo joob goo goo goo goo joob.

I'm on the outside,
I'm looking in.
I can see through you,
See your true colours.
Inside you're ugly,
Ugly like me.
I can see through you,
See the real you.

Also just wanted to say go see A.I.: Artificial Intelligence. Scary view of what the future looks like, but very possible. Haley Joel Osmet is excellent in it, and so is Jude Law. Osmet should win best actor, and Law best supporting. Speaking of Jude Law, go rent Gattaca if you haven't seen that one.

Have you seen that annoying x10 camera ad pop up on your monitor 100 times? Of course you have. Good news! This is how you can disable it. Just click here! That will enable the cookie for the x10 ad telling it not to display it for 30 days. I edited the link

so that the DAY= is now set to 365 days. Try this one to disable it for a full year!

The bad news is it seems more companies have signed up for this annoying popup ad, so we should be seeing those soon. There are some programs out there that disable popup ads, but here is one that lets you disable certain sites called Proximation. Also, for those in the "know", you can edit your hosts file and set those annoying domains to resolve to another address. Before I found the cookie above, I had ads.x10.com resolve to 127.0.0.1. This doesn't stop it from popping up, but it doesn't display their ad and doesn't waste any bandwidth.
